Why a Physical Packaging Check Matters
Because CeraVe cleansers and creams are among the most searched skincare staples in Bangladesh, knowing how to inspect the physical bottle, label printing, batch code, and formula texture helps you verify your product as soon as it arrives.
1. Check Font Sharpness and Label Spelling
- Genuine CeraVe labels use crisp, evenly spaced typography with clean alignment around the front band and back panel.
- Read the ingredient list and directions closely for typographical errors in terms such as "Ceramide NP", "Ceramide AP", "Ceramide EOP", "Niacinamide", and "Hyaluronic Acid".
- Crooked labels, blurry logos, or ink that rubs off with a dry finger are warning signs.
2. Inspect Bottle Moulding and Pump Lock
- Original CeraVe bottles have sturdy, uniform matte plastic walls without rough plastic seams along the base.
- The pump neck twists smoothly between the locked and open positions without wobbling.
3. Locate the Embossed or Printed Batch Code
- Every authentic CeraVe bottle or tub carries a lot or batch code stamped or laser-printed near the bottom edge or back seam.
- Confirm that the printed net volume matches standard CeraVe sizes (such as 87ml, 236ml/237ml, 355ml, or 453g) and that the barcode is clearly printed.
4. Verify Texture and Fragrance-Free Formula
- Core CeraVe Foaming Cleanser, Hydrating Cleanser, and Moisturizing Cream formulas are fragrance-free. A strong floral or perfumey scent indicates the contents do not match the label.
- CeraVe Foaming Cleanser dispenses as a clear gel, while CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser has a smooth, non-foaming lotion consistency.
5. Keep an Unboxing Photo and Patch Test
When opening any skincare parcel, take a quick photo of the sealed bottle and batch code, and patch test a small dab on your inner forearm before applying to your face.
